Sub lord of 12th house is Mars. It is in 1st house in Kethu star and Venus sub whereas Venus is in 9th house inKethu star. Kethu is in 10th house. So he is connected with 10th house at 4th level (Kethu stars are occupied). Hence 12th cusp is favorable to 1st house.

As there is contradiction among the cusps, compare with RPs. Sun is RP Lagna sub lord and aspecting Rahu hence it is strongest. Sun is against the asc hence doesnot promise success.
